The book itself is not very long. It is very good and written with great clarity. The author wrote a wonderful history about the 30 Years War. She also has written about the English Civil War but it is hard to find these books.

Today, he is best known as a character in Alexander Dumas’ classic novel, The Three. France and Europe: the rise of French power at the expense of the Habsburgs; the treaties of Westphalia and the Pyrenees the condition of France at the accession of Louis XIV in politics, economy and society.
